You can grow millions of orchids in your garden if you follow a simple home secret.

Part of the plant

Growing orchids at home is a process that requires a certain amount of care and precise knowledge. Orchids are very beautiful and delicate tropical plants that can be grown at home or in the garden. Proper care when growing an orchid is the basis for it to grow and thrive.

Propagating orchids  is possible by taking some precautions. To know how to propagate orchids, I recommend that you follow the procedure described here.

Orchids in pots and in the garden

Orchids are plants that can be grown in pots or in the garden. Orchids in pots can be grown by choosing the  right pot, temperature and light  . Since they need a certain level of humidity to thrive, it is important to know how to create a suitable climate.

In this sense, it is important to know that  moss is  the most suitable  soil for potted orchids  because it retains moisture. A  healthy orchid  should always be well hydrated by misting the plant regularly or keeping it in a humid room in the house.

Potted orchids  require a certain amount of light, which can be varied depending on the season.  Therefore, to grow and last a long time, potted orchids require warmth, good air circulation and watering.

For cultivation in garden soil, it is best to choose the right type of  outdoor orchid  . In general, it is better  to cultivate the orchid in the open field with its culture pot  , which must be removed the following spring for acclimatization. It is always better to place them in shady places and on clayey soils.

Tips to avoid ruining them

A first mistake to avoid is cleaning the orchid roots that protrude from the pot. Another important aspect is choosing the appropriate soil. Orchids should never be exposed to direct sunlight. The temperature that an orchid needs varies between 18 and 20 degrees. It is also very important to avoid temperature fluctuations so as  not to ruin the orchids.

Watering is a fundamental aspect for the survival of an orchid. The  substrate of an orchid  is generally made up of pine or fir bark, which gradually releases water.

Never leave water standing in the leaves, never wet the flowers and never leave the vase in standing water. The best way  to water an orchid  is from above or by immersing it in a basin.

The secret of many orchids

To understand if an orchid can be recovered and then propagated, it is enough to remove the outer part of the stem and check if it is still green inside. Then just cut  the branch into two parts  , and with the help of a lit candle you need to drip the wax into the two ends of the two branches. After applying the wax evenly, you need to wait for it to dry.

In the meantime, it is essential to   take  some fresh ginger , which with its properties promotes the germination of the orchid seedling. After slicing a piece of fresh ginger, you should keep the pieces in a glass jar. After adding about 300 ml of hot water, the container must be closed and covered. To obtain a nutritious ginger mixture for orchids  , the ginger should be left to infuse for about 24 hours.

Potted orchids

With the filtered ginger mixture, the two orchid branches should be soaked for about half an hour. While the  stems are absorbing the mixture  , you need to take some moss that needs to be disinfected by simply letting it soak in the mixture for 30 minutes.

Then you have to take two plastic cups and make two holes in the bottom with a cutter. Then the  disinfected moss must be  squeezed out and distributed on the bottom of the two glasses.  Place the two orchid stems  in the center of a glass with moss and moisten them with water.

Before the pot with the orchids  is placed in a dry place, the other plastic cup should be placed on top of the pot to seal it. Within three weeks, the small orchids will begin to grow by spraying them with water occasionally. Only after they have developed can the orchids be separated and planted in separate pots.
