INGREDIENTS

200 g sugar
250 g wheat flour
Butter for greasing
Wheat flour for dusting
Halve 3 boxes of strawberries
Syrup
1 cup (tea) of sugar
1 ¼ cups (tea) water.
PREPARATION METHODS.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Beat egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form.
Add to egg whites, yolks, and sugar.
Beat for 1 minute longer.
Turn off the mixer.
Pour flour over mixture twice.
Mix lightly with a spatula.
Place the dough in a greased and floured 35 x 45 cm baking pan.
Bake the dough at 200°C until golden brown or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Syrup
Bring sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Cook over low heat for 3 minutes.
Remove and allow to cool.
Assembly
Spread the cake and top with the syrup.
Scatter the strawberries over the top.
Serve cold.
