Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter (at room temperature)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs (at room temperature)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
Preparation:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then add vanilla extract.
- Add flour mixture in three parts, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until smooth, but do not overmix.
- Fill each paper liner with batter until 2/3 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, you can decorate them with vanilla frosting, buttercream frosting, or any other toppings of your choice.
