INGREDIENT

  • 3 eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • 12 tablespoons of sugar
  • 12 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 12 tablespoons of milk
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Flour (enough to obtain the desired consistency, about 12 tablespoons)
  • Baking powder (1-2 teaspoons, optional for leavening)

Directions:

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 175°C and grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture is creamy and light.
  4. Stir in the vegetable oil, milk, and lemon juice, stirring until well combined.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder into the mixture, if desired. Stir until smooth. The batter should have a pourable consistency.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve as is, or dust with powdered sugar.
