Grilled Potatoes: The Recipe for an Easy and Delicious Side Dish

Ingredients:

POMMES DE TERRE 1 kg
ROMARIN q.s.
SALE q.s.
BLACK POWDER q.s.
EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL q.s.

How to prepare grilled potatoes:

Step 1
First wash the potatoes well under running water, then dry them and cut them into thin slices of about 1 centimeter, without removing the peel.

Step 2
Place them in a large bowl full of water and let them rest for at least half an hour, so that they lose the excess starch.

Step 3
Now heat the grill or plate and arrange the potatoes without overlapping them; the ideal cooking temperature would be 160 ° C, but in general the grill must be very hot and not scorching, to avoid burning them. Turn them every 5 minutes to cook them evenly and remove them from the heat when they are golden on both sides.

Step 4
At this point, transfer them to a container or serving dish and season them with extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and rosemary.

Step 5
The grilled potatoes are ready to eat: serve them hot with your favorite second courses

Tip:

If you prefer, you can boil the potatoes before using them: put them in boiling water for 5 minutes, then cut them into slices, leaving the skin on and cook them on the grill.

If you want, you can use other aromatic herbs such as sage or thyme, and also add spices such as curry or paprika.
