Spinach and Parmesan Cheese Twist

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup (100 g) grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1 cup (30 g) fresh spinach, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten (for browning)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a thin rectangle.
Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg to help the toppings adhere.
Sprinkle half the Parmesan cheese, mozzarella, chopped spinach, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika evenly over the entire surface. Fold the puff pastry in half to enclose the filling, pressing down gently.
Lightly roll out with a rolling pin to seal the layers.
Brush the top layer with more beaten egg and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the folded puff pastry into 1-inch-wide strips.

Twist each strip several times to create a spiral and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Let cool slightly before serving.
