Pomegranate Liqueur

INGREDIENTS

  • 600 ml of 90 degree pure alcohol;
  • 450 g of pomegranate seeds;
  • 450 g of granulated sugar;
  • 750 ml of water

STEP

  1. First of all, collect the pomegranates;
  2. Open the pomegranates and remove the seeds, collecting them in a container;
  3. Take a bottle and leave to macerate 600 ml of pure alcohol at 90 degrees, with 450 g of pomegranate seeds for 15 days, shaking them from time to time;
  4. After 15 days, prepare a syrup;
  5. Pour 450 g of granulated sugar into a saucepan, add 750 g of water and simmer gently;
  6. Turn off and let it cool completely, take a bowl, pour in the syrup (completely cold). In another bowl place a strainer (where we have placed a tight-meshed gauze), pour in the alcohol with the pomegranate seeds and filter, after which throw away the seeds, change the gauze and filter a second time;
  7. Pour the filtered alcohol into the syrup bowl, mix well, then bottle;
  8. Close and store in a dry place;
  9. It can be enjoyed after about 20 days… super good!!
