INGREDIENTS
- Ingredients for 15-20 bread balls;
- 500g of bread (I’m from Altamura but you can use your usual bread);
- 2 medium-sized eggs;
- Chopped parsley to taste;
- Milk to taste;
- Pepper to taste:
- 50 g of pecorino and 50 g of grated parmesan;
- A pinch of salt, 1 clove of garlic;
- Peanut oil for frying to taste
STEP
- To start, take the bread, remove the crust and then crumble it coarsely;
- We place the bread in a bowl and pour in the milk, the bread will be quite soft, we squeeze it to eliminate the excess milk;
- After that, in the bowl where we put the breadcrumbs, we add the eggs, chopped parsley, grated cheeses, salt and chopped garlic;
- We knead with our hands until we obtain a compact dough,
- With a spoon or with our hands we form our bread balls;
- We transfer our meatballs onto a tray, let them rest in the fridge for 25/30 minutes;
- Now we can fry in plenty of hot oil, remember to do it a few at a time so as not to lower the temperature of the oil;
- When the meatballs are golden on all sides, remove them with a slotted spoon;
- We gradually place our meatballs on absorbent paper to eliminate the excess oil;
- We place our bread meatballs on a nice tray and serve them hot;
- THEY ARE FABULOUS!!!
