Potato Pizza with Ham and Scamorza

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams of boiled potatoes;
  • 1 egg;
  • 150 of cooked ham;
  • 150 grams of grated parmesan;
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley;
  • 150 grams of scamorza;
  • 50 grams of butter;
  • 1 glass of milk;
  • Salt and pepper to taste;
  • butter and breadcrumbs for the pan and the top;
  • 1 roll of puff pastry.

STEP

  1. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher and place them in a large bowl;
  2. Mix the parsley, grated cheese, whole egg, butter, milk, chopped scamorza cheese into the potatoes, salt, pepper and mix everything well;
  3. Place the pastry on the baking tray and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs;
  4. Pour in half of the potato mixture you have prepared;
  5. Place the chopped ham on top and cover with the other half of the seasoned mashed potatoes;
  6. Level well with a spatula moistened with water so as to cover well;
  7. Sprinkle more breadcrumbs and a few flakes of butter over the surface;
  8. Bake at maximum temperature until golden brown (it shouldn’t brown too much);
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a serving dish and serve it while still hot, but it is also excellent warm or at room temperature!
