Lemon juice is a miracle, it can be used in many situations and the results are always excellent.

Lemon juice in orchids

Anyone who has recently purchased orchids can start spraying the leaves with them to

have a fantastic, envious plant at home. Lemon juice is especially useful when recently purchased orchids begin to lose their flowers or

do not bloom for a long time. In these cases, it is not essential to purchase appropriate products, which cost a lot and can even

be harmful to health  , since they are, in a way, chemical compounds. Natural remedies that work 100% without having to spend any money can also be useful.

What are the best living conditions for the orchid?

Orchid flowers are beautiful and colorful and  come in various shapes. The only downside is that they are extremely sensitive. So if they are not well maintained and the houses are not inviting enough, they can collapse. The plant may have difficulty producing new growth and may eventually die. This is because the ideal habitat for the orchid is certainly not indoors. The plant should be placed outdoors and exposed to sunlight, even if it is not direct. In short, it needs conditions

very similar to its natural habitat  to grow well. If it is not possible to restore its habitat, the flowers will fall off and of course their premature death.

Why lemon juice is good for orchids

Lemon juice is rich in vitamins and minerals and comes into play in this context because it makes the soil acidic, making it the best source of nutrition for the orchid.

Here’s how to

use it in three very easy and quick ways  that don’t necessarily require a green thumb.

The ad hoc fertilizer, prepared with water and lemon

To prepare the ad hoc fertilizer, it is enough to use water and lemon juice to give new life to the roots of the orchid

, which quickly rot without proper nutrition.

Therefore, mix 100 ml of lemon juice in 3 liters of water. Water the orchid with this solution every six weeks. Lemon juice extends the lifespan of the plant and keeps

all kinds of insects and fungi away. This last detail is very important because protecting the plant from parasites allows the orchid to live long.

Here are the last two tricks that make the orchid a spectacular plant

A second trick, so effective in keeping the orchid leaves

shiny, pleasant and healthy at first glance,  requires the use of lemon juice alone. Here’s how to use it.

Squeeze out the lemon juice and soak it in a cotton ball. This is then passed directly onto the leaves.

The trick is not to overdo it  : if you apply the right amount of lemon juice at the indicated times, the appearance of the orchid will improve, even radically, within a few days. Finally, here is the third trick. Pour some water on a plate and add the juice of 4 lemons. Then it is placed in the orchid vase to absorb the solution.

Leave it there for at least half an hour. The trick is repeated twice a week. The result will be visible as the plant will immediately start

producing lots of flowers  that will last much longer. As for the

watering cycle,  it is enough to water the plant 1-2 times a week in spring, 2-3 times a week in summer, 1-2 times a week in autumn and a maximum of every 7-10 days in winter or if the land appears to be dry.
