INGREDIENTS
For the custard:
- 500 ml of milk;
- 3 egg yolks;
- 40 g corn starch;
- 80 g of sugar;
- To taste vanilla or alternatively to taste grated lemon zest
- 2 rolls of rectangular puff pastry;
- 3 apples;
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar;
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon;
- Icing sugar for dusting;
- Milk for brushing.
STEP
- Turn the oven on to 200 degrees and bring to temperature;
- Take a bowl, pour in the egg yolks, add the sugar and whisk;
- Add the starch and mix, then pour in two ladles of boiling milk and mix;
- Pour the mixture into the saucepan with the remaining milk and stir so that it does not thicken;
- Turn off, pour into a bowl, cover with cling film and leave to cool;
- Slice the apples, place in a pan, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and cook for 5 minutes until they do not fall apart;
- Turn off and let cool.
On a baking tray, spread out a sheet of puff pastry, prick with the prongs of a fork; - After that, place half of the custard, the apples and the other half of the custard;
- Cover with the other sheet of pastry, seal the edges well, prick with the prongs of a fork;
- Brush with milk and cook for 20 minutes at 200 degrees, it must brown;
- Remove from the oven and let cool, cut into squares;
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and…. ENJOY!!
