We present you a unique recipe that will prove these fries taste just as good as your usual fries. Just give it a try! For this recipe to be a success, choose potatoes with white skin, as they stay soft on the inside.
Ingredients
5 potatoes
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp paprika powder
Preparation
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and mix them with the spices mentioned above (and your favorite seasonings). You can add rosemary or special French fry seasoning from the supermarket.
Then place the chopped potatoes in a salad bowl and pour the seasoned egg whites over them. Mix everything well with your hands.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and line it with baking paper or parchment paper. Place the fries on the baking sheet. Tip: Space the fries out slightly so they don’t stick together.
Place the baking sheet in the oven preheated to 220°C. Check the doneness after 10 minutes. Be sure to flip the fries to ensure they cook evenly on the other side. After another 10–12 minutes, your fries are ready.
Note: Alternatively, you can lightly fry them before putting them in the oven. Repeat the process with egg whites and seasonings. Done! Now you have the perfect method for fluffy, golden-brown fries without draining your cooking oil!
