Blackheads are undoubtedly one of the most common aesthetic problems we face. They form primarily on the forehead, nose, and chin and can be difficult to remove.
These are dead cells that mix with facial oil, oxidize, and take on a dark color. Although many believe blackheads are directly related to acne, they actually occur due to oily skin.
Below we list five effective ways to remove blackheads at home without expensive treatments.
Facial cleansing. To prevent the formation of blackheads, it’s essential to establish a regular facial cleansing routine. Excessive sweating and the overuse of cosmetic products can promote the formation of blackheads.
Steam. The best time to remove blackheads is after a steam bath. Boil a liter of water with some chamomile and rosemary, then expose your face to the steam. Be careful not to burn yourself. To remove blackheads, apply light pressure. Repeat this three times a week.
Tomato. Cut a tomato in half and rub it on blackheads to remove impurities. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Clay. Clay face masks remove impurities, cleanse pores, and prevent the formation of blackheads.
Prevention. Keep pores clean and “close” them with astringent toners or cold water rinses.
