Sansevieria propagation is very simple. You can do this in two different ways.

If your desire is to have many specimens of your plants or if you want to give them to someone, propagation  is  the method for you.

By propagation, in fact, it is intended to produce other plants from those already existing.

Let’s see how to do it specifically for  Sansevieria .

Cutting

  1. First, cut a leaf from the plant you intend to propagate into several pieces.
  2. Place the pieces in a pot with soil, falling deep into the side where the cut was made.
  3. Water, then place the pot in a dark place.
  4. After about 35 days, gently remove the leaves from the ground. You will notice that small roots have grown.
  5. Now you will have to replant them in the pot of your choice and take care of them as normal.

Leaves

  1. Since Sansevieria grows by developing different branches, you can use them to propagate it.
  2. Choose the branch you intend to take and free it from the soil that hosts it, taking care not to damage its roots.
  3. Then transfer it to a new container with suitable soil.
  4. Water until the soil is well moistened.
