The jade tree is perfect for decorating gardens and interiors, not only because of its beautiful leaves but also because it is associated with luck. In this article we explain how to  make a jade tree bloom  .

Easy to propagate and maintain, the jade tree is a very popular and widespread plant. But few know that it can thrive and produce wonderful and very fragrant flowers, in the shape of a star, white with purple reflections.

Jade tree flowers appear in clusters at the tips of branches, usually in late winter and early spring.

In order for the jade tree to bloom, it does not have to be very young. On average, it can take up to 10 years for a plant to produce flowers.

To make a jade tree bloom, it is enough to provide the plant with the right conditions: avoid excessive humidity and sun.

  1. Fertilize it properly  . In order for the plant to bloom, it must be well fed. Add a natural fertilizer or compost. To strengthen the plant, you can apply an African violet fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.
  2. Water it properly  . One of the biggest mistakes when caring for jade trees is overwatering. Do not water the plant until you notice that the topsoil has completely dried out.
  3. Expose it to the cold for a while  . Some experts have shown that placing the jade tree in a cold corner of the house in late fall helps it thrive.

The jade tree plant should be placed in lighted corners but should not be exposed to direct sunlight as this could cause burns to the leaves.

While there are plants that are perfect for the kitchen or bathroom, the jade tree is not one of them. Excessive humidity and heat cause the plant to suffer and prevent it from blooming.
