Learn how easy it is to germinate and cultivate pistachios in a pot.

Having a mini pistachio tree at home is easier than you think, and you can get it by following a few simple steps on how to germinate a pistachio tree and grow it in a pot so it can even grow indoors.

Pistachio contains many health benefits as it is rich in antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxatin, which protect eyesight, but also contains other vitamins such as B6, minerals, fiber and protein.

This excellent dried fruit is also very versatile and can be used in countless different dishes, both sweet and savory. Pistachios are undoubtedly part of our culinary tradition, which is why having a miniature Christmas tree at home can be very helpful.

Select a handful of pistachios, making sure they are unroasted. Remove the hard shell and place them in a glass filled with water. Let them hydrate overnight in a completely dark place.

The next morning, place the pistachios on a dry paper towel and cover them with a damper one. Proper moisture is important for plant growth.

After about 10 days, during which you have checked that the kitchen paper has always remained moist, you can plant the seeds in a pot that is deep enough for the roots to grow well.

Fill the pot with soil, make holes, and plant the pistachios. The soil should not completely cover the germinated seeds.

Water and place the pot in a location where it receives sunlight. Water frequently.
