Radiant white laundry: Natural methods for bleaching and treating stains

Caring for white clothes can be a real challenge, no matter how often you wash them. After a few washes, white clothes tend to lose color and shine, not to mention those annoying yellow stains under the armpits.

Conventional methods such as bleach are often used to whiten clothes, but bleach can be toxic and is often inhaled during washing or comes into contact with the skin via clothing.

Below are suggested natural methods for whitening clothes and treating stains on white clothing. These simple natural remedies will save you money and protect your health.

Lemons and salt:  To remove sweat stains, especially underarms and collars, try this lemon and salt method. Boil two liters of water, remove it from the heat, and add 60 ml of laundry detergent, the juice of three lemons, and a tablespoon of salt. Immerse the clothes in this solution and let them soak for 40 minutes, then rinse thoroughly and dry in the sun.

Hydrogen peroxide:  This ingredient is useful for treating certain stains and bleaching clothes. Add 60 ml of laundry detergent to two liters of water and 60 ml of hydrogen peroxide. Soak the clothes in this solution for 30 minutes and then rinse.
Baking soda and lemon:  To remove stubborn stains, prepare a thick mixture of baking soda and lemon. This solution also helps bleach clothes. Sprinkle a tablespoon of baking soda on the stain and then rub it with half a lemon. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
