Most people know about the benefits of ginger root for strengthening the immune system, so I try to buy it from time to time. Luckily, it is always in stock in our store.

About a month and a half ago, while selecting ginger, I discovered a root with swollen eyes. The idea came to me that such a root could sprout. This idea inspired me and I put it in the basket.

It was nice to know that this time I didn’t have to wait for the seeds to germinate. The root was already there and it seemed that all that was left was to stimulate its awakening.

I put the root in a spacious pot and covered it with soil so that the root tip remained on the surface. It seemed to me that this would facilitate the growth of the sprouts.

But after a week there was no change. The buds never developed and no new ones appeared.

I couldn’t understand what was going on. All conditions seemed to be favorable for root growth.

Then I covered it completely with soil and watered it regularly, hoping that it would wake up.

A week later, the first green sprout appeared! It has finally come to life! Soon the second one grew and the first one already reached a length of 10 cm. With each passing day, the sprouts became stronger and taller. The first leaves developed quickly and after 12 days the first sprout reached a height of 65 cm and the leaf width was about 3 cm.

If growth continues at this rate, it will soon have to be relocated to rural areas.

The next morning a third sprout appeared. The plant seems to like everything now.

In addition to its beneficial properties, ginger is known for its beauty. In autumn, large red buds appear on adult plants, releasing aromatic juice with antiseptic properties.

Ginger flowers are very durable and can stay in a vase for several weeks without losing their freshness. This plant is available in almost every grocery store.
