In fact , if orchids stay in the same environment for too long   and therefore become accustomed to the same humidity and temperature,   they will not produce flowering branches.  In order for orchids to produce flowering branches, the air in these plants must be varied.

Especially if the orchids lose their leaves for a year or two and do not form flowering branches, an air change will certainly lead to flowering branches. But   how do you change the air for orchids?  What does this air exchange consist of? How   to change the ambient temperature of orchids.

How to exchange air for orchids

The exchange of air in orchids is simple. It is a matter of exposing them to a temperature different from the one   they are used to and perceive in their location   .

Therefore, in order for orchids to form flowering branches, it is possible to expose them to night temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees, which are significantly lower than those they experience in domestic environments. In this way, they are stimulated to form flowering branches.

Of course, never place them at temperatures below 10 degrees, as this could result in real frost.  Another recommendation is to only carry out air exchange on healthy plants. Because only when orchids are healthy can they produce new leaves and new roots and therefore new flowers.

If the orchids are not healthy, there is no point in changing their temperature, since the desired results, namely the formation of flower branches, will not be achieved.
