Ingredients
- 4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix (dry)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for a twist)
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Place the chicken breasts (or thighs) directly into the bottom of your slow cooker. Don’t bother thawing them—frozen works just fine!
- Mix the Seasonings:
- In a small bowl, mix together the ranch seasoning mix and onion soup mix.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the chicken.
- Add the Soup and Water:
- Pour the can of cream of chicken soup over the chicken and seasoning, spreading it out evenly.
- Add the water and give everything a little mix, just to get the soup blended in with the seasoning.
- Set It and Forget It:
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, depending on the size of your chicken pieces and how hot your slow cooker runs. The chicken will be tender and fall apart with a fork once it’s done.
- Shred and Serve:
- After the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the slow cooker. Stir everything together, making sure the shredded chicken is coated with the creamy sauce.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Optionally, sprinkle with fresh parsley to add a pop of color. Serve it over rice, mashed potatoes, or with a side of veggies. It’s so good, you might want to lick the plate clean!
