Soft Coconut and Chocolate Cake: An Irresistible Dessert

An irresistible, soft and delicious cake, perfect for those who love the combination of coconut and chocolate!


Ingredients

  • 130 g of 00 flour
  • 70 g of coconut flour
  • 40 g of bitter cocoa powder
  • 200 g of granulated sugar
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 130 g softened butter
  • 130 g of milk
  • 1 sachet of vanilla
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • Chocolate chips and coconut flour for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preparing the dry ingredients
    • In a large bowl, sift together the 00 flour , coconut flour , bitter cocoa powder , vanilla and baking powder . This step ensures a smooth, lump-free dough.
  • Beat the eggs with the sugar
    • In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the medium eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This process incorporates air, making the cake fluffy.
  • Incorporate butter and milk
    • Gradually add the softened butter to the egg and sugar mixture, stirring continuously. Next, slowly pour in the milk , making sure each ingredient is well blended before adding the next.
  • Combine the dry and wet ingredients
    • Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing with a spatula in an upward motion to keep air in the mixture. This ensures a soft texture to the cake.
  • Cooking
    • Pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35-40 minutes. To check if it is cooked, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake: if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
  • Gasket (optional)
    • Once cooled, sprinkle the surface of the cake with chocolate chips and coconut flour for a decorative touch and extra flavor.
