- 3 ripe pears (peeled and cored)
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g of granulated sugar
- 150 g of butter
- 3 eggs
- 200 g of 00 flour
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Preparing the pears:
- Peel ripe pears and remove the core.
- Cut them into uniform cubes to ensure even cooking.
- Preparation of the chocolate:
- Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Preparation of the dough:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs , one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the melted dark chocolate , mixing until the mixture is smooth.
- Incorporation of dry ingredients:
- Sift together the 00 flour and the baking powder .
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the mixture, mixing gently to avoid lumps forming.
- Adding the pears:
- Add the ripe pear cubes to the mixture, mixing carefully to distribute them evenly.
- Mold preparation:
- Butter and flour a 24cm round cake tin.
- Pour the mixture into the mold, leveling the surface with a spatula.
- Cooking:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Bake the cake for about 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cooling and decoration:
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
