Ingredients:

200 g of fusilli
1 sausage
200 g of mushrooms
4 walnuts
Extra virgin olive oil
1 clove of garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated Parmigiano Reggiano (optional)

Method:

Preparation of the Ingredients: Start by boiling plenty of salted water for the pasta. Clean the mushrooms, chop the walnuts and crumble the sausage.
Cooking the Mushrooms: In a pan, heat a drizzle of oil and add the garlic. When it is golden, remove it and add the mushrooms, cooking them until golden.
Sausage and Fusilli: In the same pan, add a drizzle of oil and the sausage. Cook until crispy, then add the mushrooms.
Cooking the Pasta: Cook the fusilli in boiling water, removing them a couple of minutes before the indicated time to obtain an β€œal dente” consistency.
Combining the Ingredients: Drain the fusilli, reserving a little of the cooking water. Add them to the pan with the sausage and mushrooms, stirring and adding water if necessary to create a cream.
Walnuts and Finish: Add the chopped walnuts, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Service and Garnish: Serve the fusilli on a serving dish and, if you like, sprinkle with grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
