A soft and simple dessert, perfect for any occasion! 🍽️
Ingredients (for a 20 cm donut mold):
4 medium eggs 🥚
150 g sugar 🍬
50 ml seed oil 🛢️
50 ml milk 🥛
200 g 00 flour 🌾
50 g potato starch 🍠
1 sachet of baking powder 🍰
Method:
Prepare the dough:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and frothy. This step is essential for a soft donut!
Add the liquid ingredients:
Combine the seed oil and milk with the egg and sugar mixture, continuing to mix gently. This will give softness to your donut!
Sift the dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, potato starch and baking powder. Add them little by little to the liquid mixture, mixing with a spatula or whisk until you get a smooth dough.
Pour into the mold:
Butter and flour the 20 cm donut mold. Pour the mixture into the mold and level it well with a spatula.
Cooking:
Bake the donut in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan-assisted at 160°C) for about 30-35 minutes. Do the toothpick test 🪡: if it comes out dry, your donut is ready!
Cooking and serving:
Let the donut cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then turn it out and let it cool completely on a rack.
If you want, sprinkle with icing sugar for a “magical” effect!
Extra tips:
For an even more delicious donut, you can add chocolate chips or lemon zest to the dough!
If you don’t have starch, you can replace it with the same amount of 00 flour, but the starch makes the donut even softer and lighter.
