Ingredients:
3 apples 🍏 (Golden or Granny Smith)
250 g mascarpone 🧀
150 g sugar 🍬
3 eggs 🥚
200 g flour 🌾
1 sachet baking powder 🎂
100 ml milk 🥛
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) 🌰
A pinch of salt 🧂
Icing sugar (for decorating) ❄️
Instructions:
Prepare the apples: Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into thin slices.
Prepare the dough: In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until frothy. Add the mascarpone and mix well until smooth.
Combine the dry ingredients: Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. Gradually add to the egg mixture, alternating with the milk. If desired, add cinnamon for a spicy touch.
Incorporate the apples: Gently fold the apple slices into the mixture, stirring carefully so as not to break them.
Bake: Pour the mixture into a cake tin (diameter 24 cm) lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-45 minutes, or until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Allow to cool completely, then dust with icing sugar before serving for an elegant finishing touch.
