A soft and fragrant dessert, perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
3 ripe pears 🍐
200 g sugar 🍬
250 g flour 00 🌾
100 g chopped walnuts 🌰
100 g butter (at room temperature) 🧈
3 eggs 🥚
1 sachet of baking powder 🧁
1 teaspoon vanilla 🌸
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for an extra fragrance) 🍂
1 pinch of salt 🧂
1 glass of milk 🥛
Icing sugar (for decorating)
Preparation:
Prepare the pears:
Peel the pears and cut them into thin slices. If you like, you can sprinkle them with a little lemon juice to prevent them from turning dark.
Mix butter and sugar:
In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. You can do this with an electric mixer to make it easier.
Add the eggs and vanilla:
Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix. Also add the teaspoon of vanilla and cinnamon (if using). Mix everything well.
Combine the dry ingredients:
Sift the flour with the baking powder and add everything to the mixture, alternating with the milk. Continue mixing until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
Add the walnuts:
Coarsely chop the walnuts and add them to the mixture, mixing gently to distribute them evenly.
Add the pears to the mixture:
Add the pear slices to the mixture, mixing gently to incorporate them. Leave some slices aside to decorate the surface of the cake.
Pour the mixture into the pan :
Grease and flour a 24 cm pan (or use baking paper) and pour the mixture into it. Decorate the surface with the pear slices that you have set aside.
Baking :
Bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for about 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is golden and a toothpick used in the center comes out clean.
Finishing :
Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Before serving, sprinkle with a little icing sugar for an elegant touch!
Extra tips for an even more delicious cake!
Add a soft center: If you like, you can put a few spoonfuls of apricot jam between the mixture and the pears for a moister and tastier center.
Gluten-free version: Replace the 00 flour with gluten-free flour for a cake suitable for everyone!
Chocolate Touch: If you love chocolate, you can add some dark chocolate chips to the dough for an extra deliciousness!
