CHOCOLATE FONDANT

Very easy, quick and perfect to amaze! Don’t miss out on this irresistible treat!

Ingredients

🍫 200 g dark chocolate (70% for an intense flavor)
🧈 120 g butter
🍬 100 g sugar (you can use brown sugar for a caramelized note)
🥚 3 eggs (at room temperature, to be added one at a time)
🌾 50 g 00 flour, sifted
🌸 Optional flavoring: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 tablespoon rum
For the paper cups:
Butter and bitter cocoa powder

Method

Melt the chocolate: Place the chocolate in a bain-marie or melt it in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring each time.
Add the butter: Incorporate it into the melted chocolate and mix with a whisk until you obtain a smooth cream.
Sugar: Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved.
Eggs: Add one egg at a time, mixing well before adding the next.
Flour: Gently incorporate the sifted flour and, if you want an extra touch, add vanilla or rum.


Preparation and Cooking

Prepare the paper cups: Butter and sprinkle with bitter cocoa to prevent the cakes from sticking and to obtain a delicious crust.
Filling: Pour the mixture into the paper cups, filling them 2/3 full.
Bake: Bake at 200°C (static oven) for 9-11 minutes. The edge must be cooked and the center soft. Watch the time! An extra minute could solidify the center.
Service:
Take the cakes out of the oven, let them rest for 2 minutes and gently turn them upside down onto a dessert plate.
Decorate: Add a dusting of icing sugar, a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Pro tip: You can prepare the dough in advance, store it in the fridge and bake the cupcakes at the moment for a perfect heart every time!
