Ingredients:
4 eggs 🥚
250 g sugar 🍬
350 g 00 flour 🌾
2 teaspoons baking powder 🥄
A pinch of salt 🧂
70 g butter 🧈
240 ml milk 🥛
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Instructions:
Preparing the oven and pan:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease and flour a cake pan.
Preparing the dough:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg and sugar mixture, stirring gently until the mixture is smooth.
Making the hot milk:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter has completely melted and the milk is warm (but not boiling).
Add the vanilla sugar and stir well.
Incorporating the hot milk:
Slowly add the hot milk to the mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Baking:
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.
Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cooling and serving:
Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, slice the cake and serve.
