Ingredients:
300 g dark chocolate (50% cocoa or more! π«)
80 g shelled walnuts π₯
80 g shelled and skinless almonds π₯₯
80 g shelled and toasted hazelnuts π°
Optional: raisins π, dried cranberries π, pecans π° or macadamias π° for a super delicious variation!
Preparation Method:
Chop the dried fruit:
Coarsely chop the walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts. You can do it by hand for a more rustic effect or with a food processor for a finer consistency.
Prepare the work surface:
Place a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray. This will help you easily remove the chocolates once they are ready.
Melt the chocolate:
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler, stirring gently until smooth and shiny. If you prefer, you can also melt the chocolate in the microwave, being careful not to burn it!
Add the nuts:
Remove the chocolate from the heat and add the chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, or your favorite combination!). Stir well to evenly distribute the nuts in the chocolate.
Form the chocolates:
Using a spoon, form little mounds of chocolate on the parchment paper, about 6 cm in diameter each. If you like the idea of ββsmaller chocolates, you can also make smaller portions!
Let them harden:
Let them harden at room temperature for about an hour. If you are in a hurry, you can put the pan in the refrigerator to speed up the solidification process.
Storage:
Once your chocolates are solid, store them in a tin or an airtight container to maintain their freshness.
Tips:
Customize the recipe! You can play with the proportions of nuts and add spices like cinnamon or pink pepper for a special touch!
White or milk chocolate can be a great alternative to dark chocolate if you prefer a sweeter taste.
