Ingredients:
500g sausage (preferably fresh sausage, but pre-cooked sausage will work too)
1 roll of puff pastry (ready-made)
1 egg (for brushing)
Directions:
- Prepare the sausage
If the sausage is in casing, remove it and crumble the meat inside onto a plate, so that it is well separated.
If you prefer, you can also cook the sausage in a pan without adding oil (as the sausage will release its fat), stirring occasionally until it is well cooked and lightly browned. But if you are using a pre-cooked sausage, just crumble it and it will be ready to use. - Prepare the puff pastry
Unroll the puff pastry on a flat surface. You can roll it out slightly with a rolling pin if you prefer a thinner sheet.
Cut the puff pastry into strips or rectangles of about 5-7 cm wide, depending on the size you want the rolls to be.
- Form the rolls
Place a portion of crumbled or cooked sausage on each piece of puff pastry, trying to distribute it evenly.
Roll the puff pastry with the sausage inside, creating small rolls. If the puff pastry does not hold well, you can seal it with a light pressure. - Bake the rolls
Beat the egg in a bowl and brush the rolls with the beaten egg to give them a perfect golden brown.
Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden and crispy. - Serve
Take the rolls out of the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. You can accompany them with a sauce of your choice, such as ketchup, mayonnaise or a barbecue sauce for an extra touch.

Add cheese: If you want to make the rolls even tastier, you can add some grated cheese (like parmesan or mozzarella) along with the sausage before rolling the dough.
Spicy variation: If you like it spicy, you can choose a spicy sausage or add a few pieces of fresh chili pepper to the meat.
Golden pastry: For an extra touch, you can sprinkle the rolls with sesame seeds before baking.
Easy sausage rolls with only 3 ingredients are quick to make and incredibly tasty. Perfect for an impromptu dinner or as an appetizer for a party!
