Make-up stained textiles, leave the washing machine alone: you only need one and it is in the kitchen

Fabrics soiled with makeup are often difficult to remove. Stains from lipstick, foundation, or eyeliner shouldn’t be removed in the washing machine; they require a pre-wash and should be treated carefully to restore the garment to its original appearance.

Typically, they are thrown into the washing machine and 1,000 products are poured directly into the drum or detergent drawer in the hope that one of them, such as bleach, might solve the problem.

This doesn’t happen because the stain sometimes hardens even without appropriate treatment. This leads to wasting a lot of time between washes and then resorting to a laundromat, which can remove any stain with its professional and very expensive products.

Natural remedies – here’s why we
prefer them. First of all, it’s advisable to try foolproof natural remedies. There are products that everyone has at home, or especially in the kitchen, that work instantly and extremely gently, and with which you can achieve incredible results without spending a single euro.

The ingredients we use in cooking should be selected according to the stain and the type of fabric soiled by the makeup. It happens to everyone at least once in their life: when you squeeze the tube of foundation to squeeze out the product, a large amount of cosmetic suddenly spills out, splashing the bathroom window and inevitably your clothes.

Whether it’s a T-shirt or a shirt, you can try an ingredient that’s everywhere and never lacking in the kitchen: baking soda. Rub the product into the stain, perhaps with a toothbrush. After a few minutes, the stain will disappear. Then, the garment can be put directly into the washing machine.

Here’s how to remove stains from cotton and delicate fabrics.
When it comes to cotton fabrics, it’s better to use hydrogen peroxide instead. For stains caused by beauty creams, however, talcum powder is used. Rub it firmly onto the stain; it actually removes the stains.

For delicate textiles, wool stains can be cleaned with ether, silk stains with warm water and a little neutral detergent, and stains on carpets and rugs can be easily removed with shampoo.

The ultimate product for removing stains from all fabrics.
White vinegar combined with sodium percarbonate is very useful for cleaning fabrics soiled with makeup. White vinegar is suitable for stains on silk. Wipe with a damp cloth and then wash the garment in lukewarm water.

Vinegar is recommended for all very delicate garments that don’t require treatment with detergents or harsh products. It guarantees excellent results, without risks and without excessive expense. Sodium percarbonate is poured directly onto the stain and left to act. This product is superior to bleach because it’s environmentally friendly and harmless to health, and its delicate texture means it won’t damage fabrics.

In particular, vinegar can also be poured into the drawer or drum of the washing machine; the clothes not only smell bad, but also have bright colors again, like new.

Lipstick and pencil stains, here’s how.
Now for eyeliner stains, these are removed with a damp cloth, rubbed directly onto the stain using firm, slow, circular motions. You need to work from the edge to the center. Rub gently for a few minutes, then rinse with cold water. Then, thoroughly dry the stain with a towel, then with a paper towel, and then put the garment in the washing machine.

For lipstick stains, there are other natural remedies available. Marseille soap is a practical option; it can be rubbed directly onto the stain. No need to rub; simply let it soak in for at least 15 minutes. Only then can you start washing in the washing machine.

Then there’s the miracle food, which can achieve incredible results. These are breadcrumbs that, when sprinkled directly onto the lipstick stain, dry the product. Let them sit for a few hours, then put the garment in the washing machine and wash as usual.
