Recycling is a basic art that not only saves your wallet but is also good for the environment   .

Recycling is essential in the kitchen and the reuse of waste is a magic that never ceases to amaze.

That’s exactly why today you can read below how to  recycle eggshells and help your favorite plants at the same   time   .

Anyone who lovingly tends their garden knows exactly what benefits an eggshell can have for a plant and how it ensures its healthy growth.

If you want to know too, it is absolutely necessary to stay on this page!

Eggshells can    be used as a repellent   and   fertilizer .

How should you prepare the mussels for use?

Besides grinding, we can use them in two other ways:

  • Flour

To   make eggshell flour  , we need to take a dozen eggshells and let them dry in a shady place. Then, place them in a bag and grind them to a powder consistency. When needed, we simply  add 1 or 2 tablespoons of this flour to the soil for about 40 days.  This way, we’ll provide the soil with beneficial calcium for our plants.

  • waterfall

To   extract water from the shells, we need  to pour 3 liters of water   into a pot and bring it to a boil along with  6 types of eggs   . By pouring the resulting mixture into the soil, we can provide the plants with the beneficial minerals and calcium they need.

Now that we’ve seen how to use them, let’s take a closer look at what they’re for.

Check the acidity of the soil

The eggshell regulates the acidity of the soil in which we want to grow the plant. All you need to do is  add the ground eggshell to the soil for a period of time.  This way, the shell components will easily penetrate the soil when watering.

Keep parasites and snails away.

The egg shells form a kind of   wall against the snails and caterpillars,   forcing them to retreat abruptly. The parasites are injured by the shells’ friction, and then retreat abruptly.

Make compost

Do you usually make compost at home? Then you can simply add eggshells. You can   easily  mix the shells with coffee grounds, which will make the planting medium much more fertile.

fertilizer

Eggshells can also be a perfect fertilizer. They are rich in   nitrogen   ,   calcium   ,   potassium   , and   phosphorus, and simply adding them to the  soil substrate   will quickly improve plant development.

I would say it’s time to get to work!
