Grandma’s favorite cure-all for purifying the blood and lowering blood pressure!

A strong immune system is crucial because it protects us from viruses and bacteria year-round. Before we get to the recipe, however, we’d like to share five tips for a strong immune system.

  1. A balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, especially broccoli, cabbage, garlic, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, citrus fruits, nuts, dark berries, and grapes. Eat the rainbow!
  2. Vitamin D is essential for a strong immune system. Since many people suffer from vitamin deficiencies in winter, it may be beneficial to take supplements.
  3. Exercise strengthens the heart and blood vessels, as well as the immune system. Endurance sports such as running, swimming, and cycling are ideal. Don’t overdo it, though, as this can have the opposite effect. Take it slow…
  4. Avoid stress as much as possible, as severe, long-term stress weakens the immune system and provides optimal conditions for pathogens to multiply. So it’s better to slow down before it gets too much.
  5. Make sure you get enough sleep. Those who start the day rested are less susceptible to infections and colds. Too little sleep leads to a reduction in defense cells and a weakened immune system.

To stay cold-free in the winter and get an extra dose of vitamins, we like to drink a ginger shot. But it doesn’t always have to be as spicy as our pink ginger shot recipe. This delicious immune-boosting juice tastes delicious thanks to apples and oranges and is sure to do you good. Ginger is also added to the juice, and the beetroot gives it a beautiful pink color. So grab the juicer and treat yourself!

Ingredients for 750 ml:

  • 2 oranges
  • 3 apples
  • 1 beetroot
  • 30 g fresh ginger

Peel the two oranges and cut them into quarters. Core the apples and cut them into large cubes. Wash the beets thoroughly and peel the ginger. Then add all the ingredients one by one to a juicer and press. The juice is best enjoyed fresh and cold with some ice cubes.

Alternatively, you can blend all the ingredients in a blender on high until smooth. Then, strain the juice through a fine sieve or a nut milk bag to filter out the plant fibers. This way, you can get fresh juice even without a juicer!
