Ingredients
- 130 g of 00 flour
- 70 g of coconut flour
- 40 g of bitter cocoa powder
- 200 g of granulated sugar
- 4 medium eggs
- 130 g softened butter
- 130 g of milk
- 1 sachet of vanilla
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- Chocolate chips and coconut flour for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preparing the dry ingredients
- In a large bowl, sift together the 00 flour , coconut flour , bitter cocoa powder , vanilla and baking powder . This step ensures a smooth, lump-free dough.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar
- In another bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the medium eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This process incorporates air, making the cake fluffy.
- Incorporate butter and milk
- Gradually add the softened butter to the egg and sugar mixture, stirring continuously. Next, slowly pour in the milk , making sure each ingredient is well blended before adding the next.
- Combine the dry and wet ingredients
- Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing with a spatula in an upward motion to keep air in the mixture. This ensures a soft texture to the cake.
- Cooking
- Pour the mixture into a previously greased and floured cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 35-40 minutes. To check if it is cooked, insert a toothpick into the center of the cake: if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
- Gasket (optional)
- Once cooled, sprinkle the surface of the cake with chocolate chips and coconut flour for a decorative touch and extra flavor.
