Delicious Italian Apple Pie: Easy and Soft Recipe

A soft and fragrant cake, perfect for breakfast or as a dessert, made with fresh apples and simple ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 5 apples (about 1 kg)
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ½ cup butter at room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 fresh eggs
  • 1 ½ cups flour (8.8 oz )
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • For coverage :
    • ¼ cup butter ( 50 g )
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar ( 50 g )

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter and flour a round baking pan.
  • Peel the apples , slice them thinly and sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.
  • In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time.
  • Sift the flour with the yeast and add it to the mixture. If the mixture is too thick, add a spoonful of milk.
  • Pour half of the batter into the pan, spread a layer of apples on top, then cover with the rest of the batter.
  • Melt the butter for the topping and pour over the cake, sprinkling with sugar. Bake for 40-45 minutes.

Notes

Use sweet apples for best results. Try sprinkling the cake with cinnamon for extra flavor.
