Apple and Walnut Muffins

Ingredients

  •  Apples : 2 (peeled and diced)
  •  Walnuts : 100 g (chopped)
  •  Flour : 250 g
  •  Sugar : 150 g
  •  Milk : 120 ml
  •  Butter : 80 g (melted)
  •  Eggs : 2
  •  Baking powder : 1 sachet (about 16 g)
  •  Cinnamon : 1 teaspoon (optional)
  •  Salt : a pinch

Instructions

  • Prepare the dry ingredients : Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Combine the liquid ingredients : Beat the eggs and add the milk and melted butter.
  • Incorporate the apples and walnuts : Add the apple cubes and chopped walnuts to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
  • Complete the dough : Pour the liquid ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Distribute the batter : Pour the mixture into the muffin cups and fill each mould about ¾ full.
  • Baking : Bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
