Torta al Latte Calda

Ingredients:

4 eggs 🥚
250 g sugar 🍬
350 g flour 🌾
2 teaspoons baking powder 🌟
A pinch of salt 🧂
70 g butter 🧈
240 g milk 🥛
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preparing the oven and pan:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease and flour a cake pan (about 24 cm in diameter).
2️⃣ Making the dough:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. 🥄
In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, stirring gently until the dough is smooth.
3️⃣ Making the hot milk:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter has completely melted and the milk is warm, but not boiling.
Add the vanilla sugar and stir well.
4️⃣ Incorporating the hot milk:
Slowly add the hot milk to the dough, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
5️⃣ Baking:
Pour the dough into the prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

6️⃣ Cooling and serving:
Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice and serve. You can add a dusting of powdered sugar for a finishing touch!
