Soft Brioche Buns

Soft Brioche Buns

Delicious, soft and fragrant, these brioche buns are the dream of every breakfast or snack! Prepare them for a moment of sweetness that conquers everyone!

Ingredients for about 12 rolls:

For the dough:
500g of manitoba flour 🌾 (for a soft and fluffy consistency!)
2 eggs 🥚
200ml of warm milk 🥛 (to activate the yeast well!)
100g of melted butter 🧈 (to make the dough super soft)
80g of granulated sugar 🍬
1 teaspoon of dry brewer’s yeast 🧆 (for perfect leavening)
A pinch of salt 🧂
For brushing:
1 egg yolk 🥚 (for a golden and shiny surface)
2 tablespoons of milk 🥛 (to make the browning perfect!)

Preparation:

Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine the manitoba flour, the dry yeast, the sugar and a pinch of salt. Make a hole in the center and add the eggs, melted butter and warm milk.
Knead: Mix the ingredients until the dough becomes smooth and homogeneous. Then, transfer to a work surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until it becomes elastic and soft.
First rising: Form a ball with the dough and place it in an oiled bowl. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until the dough doubles in volume.
Form the rolls: After rising, take the dough and divide it into 12 balls of equal size. Form small spheres and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, leaving a little space between them.
Second rising: Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes, until they are well puffed up.
Brush and bake: In a bowl, beat the egg yolk with the milk and gently brush the surface of the buns. This will give them a beautiful golden brown!
Bake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (static) and bake the buns for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden and puffed up.
Leave to cool: Remove the buns from the oven and leave them to cool on a rack. While they are still warm, you can fill them with jam, chocolate cream or even just butter and honey!
Tip:
If you want an extra touch, you can add chocolate chips or fresh berries to the dough for even more delicious buns!
